Meet Zena, a new addition to our family. She was adopted from the shelter and is a full bred Australian Heeler . . . she says g'day.
Well, it has been some time since we updated. These will be mostly before pics. Phase III of many is underway and should be the last for this winter. Items to be done:
- Paint guest room suite and do some redecorating
- Paint laundry room, replace washer and dryer with stack unit, add storage cabinet
- Paint hall and dining room (walls and ceiling)
- Paint entry way
- Replace ceiling fixture in kitchen with new lighting
- Replace counter tops and sink with Corian
- Tile backsplash
- Paint remaing surfaces and ceiling in kitchen
- Install new office furniture including a murphy bed in John's office
- Get a second job to pay for all of this . . . yes, I am continuing to buy a lottery ticket . . . don't necessarily what to hit the big one . . . just a small fortune to pay for all the projects
And now for the Pics:

Well, a tour of the progress. This is the living room . . . that is and early 20th century Lawyers case that my Grandfather Miller used to display his jewerly.
Bedroom . . . not the best of pics. That is a custom made bedroom set out of Texas cedar.
If you come to visit . . . this is our wall of crosses. We have examples from Spain, Ireland, Mexico, Navajo, Nambe, Hopi and many more.
This is Roxie's room . . . and yes . . . that rocker is from Uncle Hank and Aunt Sarah's Post Office.
The Old Master Bedroom . . . newly designed guest bedroom.
Looking down the hall . . . new ceramic tile from Spain.
Living room . . . sorry this is a night shot . . . during the day you have the view of the San Francisco Peaks.
Hand carved mantle from Mexico coupled with a Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass fire place grate. Nambe in the center and Tribal People by Judy Peele.
Aunt Sarah's hutch in the Dining room . . . which is in need of a table and chairs.
Another view of the living room . . . note lower right . . . that is the Johannes Abrahams (Great Grandfather Janzen Side) moving crate.

Lights, doors, action
Yes, they arrived . . . it took 12 weeks . . . but the doors are in from Ohio made of Kentucky hickory by a guy from Georgia (he did share with me his life story when explaining the delays yadda yadda yadda) . . . I kid you not. It looked like a crate for a casket and weighed about as much . . . and was as difficult to get into as a casket . . . or so I've been told.
Well worth the wait. Double door from livingroom into masterbedroom suite.
French doors (because they have glass). View from livingroom into foyer (Roxie's room)
Closet and pocket door. Pocket door was stained prior to being hung. Pocket door leads to bathroom.
View from foyer into livingroom.
Double door from masterbedroom into livingroom and closet door.
Lighting in bedroom. Fan has veil of mystery . . . actually put there to minimize dust from tile saw . . . wish I had a video of Deb putting it up . . . it would sell like hotcakes.
Lighting in bathroom (over shower and throne room). That is the Spanish tile . . . still has to be grouted and polished . . . but still looks great.
Lighting in bath which is right over where my sink will be located.
